Google unified their many messaging products (Talk, Hangouts, Chat, Google+ Messenger) into one universal one.
Something that was needed for a while, especially for Google Talks many versions.

It's out now for Chrome, Android (it will replace the existing Google Talk app), iOS and Gmail.
