Google recently announced the new Nexus 7 (not to be confused with the old Nexus 7) sporting a plethora of improvements.
A thinner and lighter body, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, dual band 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, display output support in the MicroUSB port (for HDMI), Miracast support, a notification LED, surround sound powered by Fraunhofer (the guys who invented the MP3), wireless charging (Qi) and a 1080p HD screen (a 1920x1200 resolution at 323ppi).
