Sony recently announced a new Vita with longer battery life, a MicroUSB port for charging and an LCD screen instead of OLED (likely to cut costs and raise the battery life) and they also announced PS Vita TV which is this tiny little box for $99 that connects to a DualShock 3 controller and plays Vita, PSP and PS1 games on your television along with most of the other stuff a Vita can do (pretty much a Vita for your TV).
